What are Soft Powder Brows?

Soft Powder Brows is a permanent makeup (PMU) application that adds depth and definition to the brows for a more natural, filled-in look. It is a machine, ombre technique where color is built to achieve a translucent result.

What are Nano Strokes?

Microblading is a permanent makeup (PMU) application that entails creating small hair-like strokes on the skin using a hand tool and pigment. This technique results in an eyebrow tattoo that mimics real brows.

*not everyone is a candidate for Microblading, we will discuss which technique is best for you during consultation at the start of your appointment

Can I get PMU after receiving the Covid Vaccine?

Yes, but please only schedule your appointment at least 4 weeks before or 4 weeks after receiving the vaccine.

Am I getting a tattoo??

PMU is process of inserting pigment into the basal layer of the epidermis. It is a form of tattooing; cometic tattoo!

How long does it last?

Eyebrow PMU is a permanent procedure and it is good to know a perfect result is not a realistic expectation. Everyone’s skin and daily routine is different therefore no guarantees can be made as to how long PMU will last on you. Do keep in mind it is standard protocol that somewhere between 8 weeks and 1 year post procedure, you will need to come in for a touch up from your initial procedure as the color will fade 30-40% after healing.

Does it hurt?

Again, the answer to this is different to everyone. Most will agree the pain is minimal; some people will feel close to nothing, while others are more sensitive. You will be pre-numbed with a topical anesthetic and I will apply a secondary numbing agent once the skin is open. You got this!

What is the healing process?

Results are heavily reliant on your skin being healthy, strong, and calm, which is why I like to say that it all begins with your pre-care. Properly following your pre-care instructions will kick-off a smooth procedure, which will contribute to a happier healing process. HOWEVER, it is of the utmost importance, that you follow through with your post-care instructions in order for your new brows to heal properly + look their best.

  • The day of your appointment you will leave with brows just slightly darker than your end result.

  • The next day your brows will appear darker, this is totally normal and part of the process.

  • Your brows will begin to scab… and then your scabs will start to fall off. This is NOT an invitation to pick! Let them be.

  • After the scabs are gone, your brows will now appear lighter, but sit tight… Again, it is part of the process (skin cell turnover!).

  • A few weeks after your initial procedure your brow color will come back.

  • It is possible some areas did not hold or after living with your new brows, you might feel like you need more. We will touch on all of that in your touch up appointment!

Who is not an ideal candidate?

People with extremely oily skin and large pores. People who bleed easily or have had permanent eyebrow makeup done before. Anyone with pre-existing skin conditions (sunburn, eczema, psoriasis, chronic acne, rosacea) or certain medical conditions (Diabetes type 1 or 2, Thyroid/graves’, autoimmune disease). Whether it is the condition itself or the medication, healing time may be slowed down which can cause possible infection or the pigment simply may not retain. Anyone who has taken Accutane within the last year. Anyone who is pregnant or nursing should not partake in PMU. Do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have.

How long will my appointment take?

Brow PMU is done in two sessions. Your first session can last between 2 and 3 hours; during this time we will go over paperwork, discuss your current brows and brow desires, draw and map out your new brow shape and begin the procedure. Your second session, aka Touch Up, will last about an hour to an hour and a half. Here we will look at your healed results and perfect your brows by going over areas where pigment may not have held, finalize your brow shape and color, and make any needed adjustments.

How do I know when it is time for my Touch Up or Color Boost?

Your Touch Up is complimentary within 8-12 weeks after your initial procedure. Anytime after 12 weeks you will need to pay the current cost of a Color Boost. A Color Boost is great for when your pigment noticeably begins to fade and you are looking to bring your brows back to life!

No more tweezing, threading or waxing?

A lot of people ask this question… so here is the scoop. If you have hairs that grow outside of the tattooed area, then yes, you may want to take care of them to keep your new shape in tact. Do keep in mind that eyebrow PMU is meant to add to what is already naturally yours, so you should not have to take away hairs that lie within the tattooed area.
